After being held for more than 25 years at Shropshire’s Weston Park, the Midlands’ Motorfest has been forced to relocate to a new venue after the management of the stately estate decided that ‘they no longer wanted a classic car show in their portfolio.’
However, Midlands ‘Motorfest’ will still take place over the Easter weekend of Sunday 21st and Monday 22nd April, at the new location of the stunning Chetwynd Deer Park just ten miles up the road in Newport.
Gemini Events Director Stephen Smith, who bought the original event from Transtar Promotions in 2015, explains: “We’ve not had the easiest three years at Weston since we took over with the inclement weather but still always managed to put on a good event. So, when it came to renew the contract, we were shocked to hear that Weston had decided that the show and its classic motoring enthusiasts were no longer welcome at Easter. However, it may have worked out for the best as we have much more space available to us at the beautiful Chetwynd Deer Park, which also offers better drainage should the weather give us and the owners any problems. It is also better value for money, allowing us to offer our loyal following some exciting early bird offers.”
To celebrate the new venue and say thanks, Gemini is pleased to offer 300 FREE vehicle passes for each day to those owners who would like to display their vehicle – but be quick the deadline is 31st December or sooner if all the passes are claimed. Simply go to the website www.classicmotorshows.co.uk and follow the online booking instructions and enter the Promotional code ‘MFEST19’ to claim a free vehicle pass.
