Midlands’ Motorfest returns to Weston Park, Shropshire, on Easter Sunday 1st April, with up to 1,000 cars spanning a century of motoring for visitors to enjoy.
From classic American cars and European imports to ‘fast Fords’ and British icons, Motorfest, sponsored by ClassicLine Insurance, attracts a wide range of vehicles including vintage commercials and custom cars.
Over 35 car clubs will display their members’ stunning examples including the BMW Car Club, Mercedes-Benz Club, Stag Owners Club, and Club Lotus to name a few.
Local clubs supporting the event include Cherished Cars of Shropshire, Potteries Vintage Classic Car Club, VW West Mids Meet, and the West Midlands Mitsubishi 4x4 club.
There’s a mouth-watering selection of motorcycles of the past for those who prefer two wheels and fans of custom and modern cars will be equally well catered for with the likes of Flipped Out Kustoms joining the fun.
Talking of fun, the ‘Decibel Duel’, a competition to find the loudest engine, returns to the Live Arena along with the Daily Driver and Pride of Ownership competitions. Judges will be on site for the annual Weston Park Concours which culminates in the ‘Best in Show award at 4pm.
Enjoy live music from retro soloist ‘Keep Calm and Carrie-Anne’ who will be providing sounds of the 1940s and 1950s as well as giving some modern songs a vintage twist, and The Quik Beats, playing the sounds of the 1960s.
Visitors in search of automotive memorabilia can enjoy the Autojumble stands and for the younger show goers, there will be plenty of family Easter fun such as free face painting and an Easter Egg Hunt, as well as the many attractions of Weston Park.
Gates open at 10am until 4pm. Admission starts from £8 for adults, £3 for children (4-16 years), with a family ticket (2 adults & 3 children) for £20 when booked in advance. Tickets also available on the gate. Entrance to the House is £3 for adults and £2.50 for children. Free parking for all visitors.
