Gemini Events’ immensely popular annual Motor Show in the grounds of famous Knebworth House reaches its 25th anniversary on Sunday and Monday, 30th and 31st August.
Hundreds of classic cars will be on display in the fields that have played host in the past to sell-out concerts with the likes of Robbie Williams, Elton John and Pink Floyd.
This 25th birthday party for the two-day Bank Holiday weekend show will have a host of features that will appeal to enthusiasts and the general public. There will be entertainment featuring vehicles and classic tunes from the 1950s to the 90s in the ‘Parade of the Decade’ feature in the live arena on both days. A Stig, Peppa Pig and Mickey & Minnie Mouse will be in attendance during both days raising money for local charities, plus a Vintage Fair will be open in the barns for those who like to find retro-style bargains. For family fun there will be music trivia quizzes and loads of spot prizes. Trade and autojumble stalls will be sited alongside the classic motor displays.
Sunday is car club day when local and national car clubs are invited to meet the commentator in the arena and compete for the ‘Best Club Stand’ award. Monday is the day for individual owners to compete in the Concours’ competition, with the chance to win a top quality award. Owners can enter their vehicle for the new ‘Pride of Ownership’ award and the noisiest award of the day will be made in the ‘Decibel Duel’ as we search for the loudest vehicle on the field.
Pre-booking for vehicle entries closes on 1st August but owners can still enter their vehicles on the day – normal admission rates apply. Modern sports cars and supercars are also very welcome to join the displays.
All pre-booked vehicles will receive a special commemorative show plaque on the day and club applications are welcomed, including all classic and kit car clubs.
Pre-booked vehicles receive an exhibitor pass for special early entry to Knebworth Park for 2 people worth £19.00 and entry to the concours’ competition on Sunday & Monday. All pre-booked vehicles are also entered in a free prize draw to win a place on the 2016 London to Brighton Run Classic or Kit & Sports Car Run.
